Antonio Brown will make his comedy debut at the New England Comedy Club in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Dec. 18. Tickets are on sale for $77, with meet-and-greet opportunities advertised on the event's website.
The booking arrives while his criminal case is unresolved. Brown faces an attempted murder charge, and accepted a plea deal from Miami-Dade County prosecutors after a shooting on May 16, 2025, outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood; he had faced a second-degree murder charge and a possible 30-year prison sentence. He was expected to plead no contest to aggravated assault as part of a deal to avoid jail time, but his court date was postponed. Brown was released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Nov. 13. His attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said the deal would "dramatically reduce the criminal charge against him and result in probation rather than a prison sentence."
Brown's NFL career ended in 2022. Before that: seven Pro Bowls and two receiving titles with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a touchdown catch in the Buccaneers' 31-9 Super Bowl rout of the Kansas City Chiefs, and a New England Patriots stint that lasted one game and ended with his release amid a sexual assault investigation. The years since have included a rap career, a turn mocking Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, later mockery of Trump himself, and social-media harassment of Tom Brady over Brady's divorce from Gisele Bündchen. A Pro Football Hall of Fame voter, Armando Salguero, has argued the off-field record should keep Brown off a first-ballot induction.
The comedy debut is scheduled for Dec. 18. The last time Brown performed before a paying crowd, he took off his jersey and pads midway through a game, threw peace signs to the stands, and was gone before halftime.
